felt like modeling some mugs just for fun. download full-size to see the details (1920x1080) it took 2 hours to render
played with some aperture and focus setting on vray camera. I think the result is satisfying. gonna try some fisheye and spherical stuff with the camera sometime soon.

I love the way the the white light in the foreground really plays up the darkness in the background. The image achieves this incredibly depth of field thanks to your prudent choices on focusing and blurring out elements. I can't believe this is really a 3d rendering! It looks so realistic, in all the reflections. I love the way you have the overly bright light in the foreground, it very much gives the feel of a true photograph.
